Erie Insurance Property and Casualty Company has submitted a new form filing in Virginia for its Personal Auto Program, effective December 1, 2025, for both new and renewal business. The filing introduces a series of new and revised Private Passenger Auto endorsements under “VA ESA Form Filing 12-1-25,” which are identical to previously approved forms from Erie Insurance Company and Erie Insurance Exchange but feature updated form numbers and edition dates.
Among the updates are the Extended Theft Coverage Endorsement for recreational camping vehicles, the Extended RCV Physical Damage Coverage Endorsement, and the Auto Security Coverage Endorsement, which offers options such as New Vehicle Replacement, Better Vehicle Replacement, Repair Coverage, and Auto Lease/Loan Security Protection. The Erie Auto Plus Endorsement enhances supplementary payments and introduces a Diminishing Deductible that decreases by $100 per claims-free year, up to a $500 maximum reduction. Additionally, the Xtra Features Policy Change Endorsement updates liability supplementary payments, expands the definition of “you” and “your” to include Limited Liability Companies, and introduces automatic policy renewal language.
Rating variables include driver, vehicle, and policy characteristics such as marital status, annual mileage, insurance score, and prior coverage history. Discounts include the Accident Prevention Course Discount. Rate and rule filings will be submitted separately, and Virginia’s standard ISO forms will continue to be used.
