Erie Insurance Exchange is seeking a 10% rate increase for its ErieSecure homeowners business in Tennessee.
The filing affects 5,544 policyholders representing approximately $12.2 million in written premium and would generate about $1.2 million in additional premium. Erie indicates a rate need of 13.4%.
The changes apply to a closed book of business, as Erie no longer writes new homeowners policies through its ErieSecure Exchange product. New home business is instead written through ErieSecure Home or ErieSecure XRC under Erie Insurance Company.
The filing changes base rates by policy type and is scheduled to take effect December 1, 2026, for renewals.
Erie’s previous rate revision for the program took effect March 1, 2026.
