Foremost, part of the Farmers, received approval in Alabama for revisions to its Manufactured Home Program rules manual, with changes effective June 15, 2026.
Under the revised rules, manufactured homes used exclusively for private residential purposes remain eligible for coverage, with insureds required to be AARP members. The filing also outlines minimum coverage requirements for dwelling, other structures, personal property, liability, and medical payments coverage.
The updated manual includes premium modifiers tied to factors such as multi-policy relationships, companion auto policies, early shopping, non-smoker status, full-pay discounts, and policy lapses. Policy lapse modifiers increase premiums by 14% across most perils, while discounts apply for qualifying bundled policies and other characteristics.
The filing includes updated territory definitions across Alabama counties, revised dwelling base rates, deductible factors, and expanded references to endorsements such as equipment breakdown coverage, home-sharing coverage, service line coverage, water backup coverage, and hurricane deductibles.
