Foremost Insurance Company filed a rate and rule update for its Marine Program in Wisconsin, covering boatowners and personal watercraft, with new business effective July 1, 2026, and renewals effective August 1, 2026.

The filing reflects an overall rate decrease of 5.3%, compared to an actuarially indicated change of -14.7%, impacting 4,593 policyholders and reducing written premium by about $74,000 from a base of $1.41 million.

Premium changes will be subject to capping between -22% and +22% at renewal, with caps applied for up to four years until full filed rates are achieved.

The update also revises rating and rule components across the program, including factors tied to vessel characteristics, operator profile, insurance score, loss history, distribution channel, and discounts for safety training, protective devices, multi-policy placement, and paid-in-full elections.
