CSAA Launches New Homeowners Product in Oregon

CSAA filed a new homeowners program in Oregon that will serve as the baseline product for all future new business in the state, with an effective date of March 15, 2027.

The filing includes new homeowners, renters, and condominium policy forms, along with dozens of endorsements covering risks such as earthquakes, buried utility lines, identity fraud, equipment breakdown, water backup, and mortgage payment protection.

According to the filing, the program currently has no in-force policyholders and is being introduced as a completely new offering.

Among the new optional coverages are earthquake protection with percentage deductibles, buried utility line coverage with limits up to $10,000 per disruption, and matching coverage for undamaged roofing and siding. The filing also includes a notice of premium increases related to wildfire risk, reflecting the growing influence of catastrophe exposure in Oregon’s homeowners market.

CSAA stated that all forms submitted are new and designed to support the launch of the program.
