CSAA Insurance filed a form update in Oregon on January 15, 2026, covering new and renewal business effective August 1, 2026. The change replaces an existing notice to prepare policyholders for a forthcoming rate filing tied to wildfire mitigation incentives.
The revised notice explains CSAA’s two tier wildfire risk scoring system, with Level 1 measuring exposure based on external factors such as fire history, vegetation, terrain, and proximity to fire stations, and Level 2 measuring property specific vulnerability such as roof materials and defensible space.
The update is paired with an upcoming “My Home Hardening” discount program, to be introduced through a separate rate filing. Policyholders who obtain an Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety designation may qualify for a 10% Base discount or a 15 percent Plus discount on the wildfire portion of their premium by taking steps to reduce wildfire risk.
