Wesco Insurance Company, part of AmTrust, introduced a new Tenant Property Protection Program in Tennessee.
The program provides personal property and personal liability coverage for renters and includes protection for belongings located anywhere in the world, subject to policy limits. Coverage also extends to additional living expenses when a covered loss makes a residence uninhabitable.
The filing includes a range of optional endorsements, including biohazard clean-up, identity recovery and case management services, involuntary unemployment insurance, limited bed bug coverage, pet damage coverage, water backup protection, and coverage for credit card fraud, electronic fund transfer fraud, forgery, and counterfeit money. Tennessee-specific personal electronics coverage is also available.
The policy includes coverage for theft, fire, lightning, windstorm, hail, vandalism, accidental water discharge, volcanic action, and other named perils. Certain categories of property, such as jewelry, firearms, collectibles, drones, and business property, are subject to sublimits.
The filing was submitted to Tennessee regulators on June 2, 2026, with an effective date of upon approval.
