Rochdale Insurance Company Launches New AES Workers Compensation Program

Rochdale Insurance Company, a New York-domiciled carrier within the AmTrust Financial Group, has filed to introduce a new AES Workers Compensation program in North Carolina, with a requested effective date of December 1, 2025. The filing, submitted on October 24, 2025, marks a fresh entry into the market with no existing written premium or policyholder base.

The program will be underwritten and managed exclusively by Applied Entertainment and Sports (AES), operating independently from other AmTrust business lines. Canary Consulting, Inc. is listed as the authorized filer.

Designed for the Standard Workers Compensation market, the program extends protection to employees traveling internationally or working temporarily outside the U.S. or Canada. The Foreign Voluntary Compensation coverage includes Employers Liability limits of $1,000,000/$1,000,000/$1,000,000.

The filing outlines several payment plan options — Annual, Semi-Annual, Quarterly, Monthly, and 25% down with eight installments — and associated fees: a $10 installment fee (beginning with the second installment), a $25 insufficient funds fee, a $25 late fee, and a $25 reinstatement fee.

No rate impact is expected, as this is a new program.
