AmTrust Broadens Nevada BOP Appetite

AmTrust has filed a Nevada form update to its Businessowners (BOP) product aimed at expanding underwriting appetite and addressing emerging risk exposures. The filing was submitted on January 26, 2026, and applies to new and renewal business effective August 1, 2026.

The update introduces several new optional liability exclusions, allowing AmTrust to write risks that may otherwise fall outside eligibility. These include exclusions related to habitability claims tied to residential-use commercial buildings, new residential construction exposures, snow removal operations, certain substances such as kratom and delta-8 THC, and liabilities arising from small electric transportation devices such as e-bikes and e-scooters.

In addition to exclusions, the filing expands coverage by rolling out a Photographers Coverage Endorsement across additional states, including Nevada. The endorsement provides scheduled and blanket coverage for photography equipment, including cameras and related gear, with coverage extending off premises and worldwide, subject to specified limits and deductibles.

AmTrust is also adopting two updated ISO endorsements related to business income and extra expense coverage. These changes consolidate limits for multiple business income–related coverages and introduce a revised period of indemnity framework based on a defined number of consecutive months rather than an open-ended restoration period.

The filing applies to multiple AmTrust group carriers and is part of the company’s broader NexGen Businessowners program, reflecting a strategy of tightening liability exposure while selectively expanding coverage for specific professional classes
