CSAA Introduces New Home Insurance Program In Idaho

CSAA is introducing a new homeowners program in Idaho, marking a full rollout of updated policy forms and coverage structure for new business.

The form filing, submitted on March 24, 2026, establishes the baseline language for the program, with a requested effective date of January 11, 2027. As an introductory launch, the program currently has no in-force policyholders and will be used for all new business going forward.

The filing includes a broad set of endorsements and coverages spanning standard homeowners forms (HO3, HO4, HO6) along with additional protections such as buried utility lines, equipment breakdown, identity fraud, and earthquake-related loss assessment coverage. It also introduces optional enhancements like “Rebuild to Green,” which provides up to $30,000 for environmentally focused repairs, and expanded personal property protections under open peril coverage.

Notably, the program incorporates more granular coverage mechanics, including roof settlement schedules based on age and material, specific limits on high-value items like jewelry, and defined sublimits for events such as electrical damage or debris removal. Additional endorsements address modern risks and use cases, including incidental business activity, rental exposures, and utility line failures.

Overall, the Idaho filing reflects CSAA’s move to deploy a comprehensive, modular homeowners product with expanded optional coverages and more detailed underwriting structure at launch.
