Philadelphia introduces Executive Safeguard Plus program in Virginia

Philadelphia Indemnity Insurance Company has filed its new Executive Safeguard Plus management liability program in Virginia, a modular product that allows policyholders to select one or more coverage parts based on their risk profile and coverage needs. The filing was submitted on June 8, 2026, with a requested effective date of July 8, 2026.

The program combines multiple management liability offerings under a single platform, including Directors & Officers and Organization Liability, Employment Practices Liability, and Fiduciary Liability coverages. Policyholders can customize coverage through a range of optional extensions and endorsements tailored to their exposures.

Among the available enhancements are coverage options for employee privacy claims, wage and hour defense costs, workplace violence expenses, crisis management expenses, benefit claim denials, HIPAA and HITECH penalties, and pre-claim investigation costs. The filing also introduces endorsements addressing biometric claims, PFAS exposures, consent-to-settle provisions, runoff coverage, and extended reporting periods.

According to the filing description, Executive Safeguard Plus is designed to provide insureds with greater flexibility by enabling them to purchase only the management liability coverages that align with their specific needs. The submission is a resubmission of a previously filed program, with Philadelphia Indemnity stating that all concerns raised in the earlier filing had been addressed.
