Foremost Seeks Rate Increase for Florida Classic Auto Program

Foremost has filed rate revisions in Florida for its Antique and Classic Auto Program, seeking an overall 5% increase across the book.

The filing proposes revised base rates for bodily injury and property damage liability, medical payments, uninsured motorist coverage (stacked and non stacked), personal injury protection, and additional personal injury protection. The company is also updating territory factors applied across multiple coverages. Foremost indicated that the combined impact of the changes results in a 5% increase at the program level.

The rate indications rely on traditional accident year weighting, using experience from accident years ending 2021 through 2025. The insurer stated that the proposed base rates were selected to satisfy Miccolis consistency tests, a standard actuarial validation used in Florida rate filings.

Foremost has requested that the revised rates take effect May 1, 2026 for new business and July 1, 2026 for renewal business.
