Foremost Reopens Florida Counties for RV Business

Foremost Insurance Company has updated its Florida Off-Road Vehicle program to reopen select counties for new business, reversing a broader suspension that had limited growth in the state. The changes will apply to new and renewal policies effective March 13, 2026.

Under the revised rules, new business will be allowed only in specific counties, including Alachua, Orange, Polk, Osceola, Seminole, Lake, Marion, and others, while the suspension remains in place elsewhere.

The move reflects a targeted expansion strategy rather than a statewide reopening, indicating a controlled approach to market reentry based on geographic risk appetite.

Key program provisions remain unchanged. Policies may be written for a maximum term of one year, with a minimum written premium of $75. Premium adjustments and cancellations are calculated on a pro rata basis, with insured-initiated cancellations returned at 90% of the pro rata amount. Each off-road vehicle must have a designated primary operator used for rating.
