Foremost filed its annual motorcycle insurance rate certification in Florida, confirming that it will make no changes to rates effective January 1, 2027.
While the company’s actuarial indications varied by coverage, including a 20% indicated increase for property damage and a 5.6% indicated decrease for medical payments, Foremost selected a 0% rate change across all coverages.
The filing states that the current rates are actuarially sound and not inadequate under Florida law. Overall, the motorcycle program showed a credibility-weighted indicated increase of 3.7%, but the company opted to keep rates unchanged.
Foremost’s Florida motorcycle book includes coverage for collision, comprehensive, medical payments, property damage, uninsured motorist, and liability.
