Lemonade is seeking to increase the monthly installment fee for its Maryland pet insurance customers.
The insurer plans to raise the fee from $2 to $3 for policyholders who pay their premiums monthly. Lemonade said the fee reflects the administrative cost of processing monthly payments and that the change will have no impact on insurance rates.
The revision would apply to renewals effective on or after September 16, 2026. The filing was submitted to Maryland regulators on August 13 and remains under review.
Customers who pay their annual premium in full are eligible for a discount and would avoid the monthly installment fee.
