Lemonade has launched renters insurance in Mississippi, extending the product’s availability across another US state.
Coverage starts at $5 per month and is available through Lemonade’s app, where customers can obtain quotes, purchase policies, manage coverage, and file claims. The company says around 40% of renters claims are handled instantly and that its rates are about 30% below the national average.
Customers may also qualify for discounts by bundling policies, installing eligible home safety devices, or paying annually.
The expansion follows Lemonade’s recent renters insurance launches in Montana and North Dakota, as well as the rollout of its autonomous car insurance product in Indiana and Colorado.
