Lemonade has launched renters insurance in Kentucky, with policies starting at $5 per month.
Customers can obtain quotes, purchase and manage policies, and file claims through the Lemonade app. The insurer said about 40% of renters claims are handled instantly.
Discounts may be available for bundling policies, installing qualifying home safety devices, or paying annually.
Lemonade serves more than 3 million customers across the US, UK and Europe.
