Lemonade Extends Tesla FSD Pricing To Older Vehicles

Lemonade has expanded its Autonomous Car insurance pricing to Tesla vehicles equipped with HW3 hardware and FSD (Supervised) v14 Lite in Arizona, Colorado, and Tennessee.

Eligible drivers can save 30% on miles driven with FSD engaged. Tesla drivers with newer HW4 hardware and FSD v14.2 or later continue to receive 50% savings on those miles.

FSD v14 Lite adapts Tesla’s newer driving software for vehicles with its previous-generation onboard computer. The update expands the vehicles eligible for Lemonade’s FSD pricing, with support launching in three states and more planned.

Lemonade uses Tesla’s Fleet API, with customers’ permission, to distinguish between miles driven with FSD engaged and those driven manually, pricing each accordingly.

Despite the product’s Autonomous Car branding, Tesla’s FSD (Supervised) requires active driver supervision and does not make the vehicle autonomous.
