Horace Mann is introducing an update to its personal auto program in Oregon, with a modest overall increase of about 3.8%.
The changes apply to private passenger auto policies and are scheduled to take effect August 1, 2026, for both new and renewal business. The update replaces the current rate manuals and reflects adjustments across pricing and rules rather than a structural overhaul of the product.
In terms of impact, the main Horace Mann entity expects roughly $118k in additional premium across about 2,600 policyholders, while its property and casualty unit projects about $28k in added premium across roughly 550 policyholders. Rate changes vary by customer, with some seeing decreases and others increases depending on risk profile.
The company is positioning the update as a routine recalibration of pricing, following a prior rate decrease in 2025.
