Allstate has introduced a new condominium insurance product in Alabama through its Allstate North American Insurance Company subsidiary.
The filing, approved on June 3, 2026, replaces the traditional single policy jacket with a modular policy structure, where each coverage section is contained in a separate form. According to the filing, the modular approach is intended to simplify future product updates and regulatory changes while allowing coverage modules to be reused across products. Existing Allstate Insurance Company condominium policyholders will remain on their current product, while the new offering will be available for new business beginning November 10, 2026.
The product includes coverage modules for building property, personal property, liability, guest medical, loss assessments, building codes, water backup, functional replacement cost, and several optional insured endorsements. The filing also introduces updated policy language covering areas such as virtual currency exclusions, communicable disease liability limitations, and expanded definitions related to condominium ownership and shared property.
