Encompass, part of Allstate, submitted a homeowners rate filing in Kansas proposing an overall 9.2% decrease across its Home, Condo, and Renters lines.
The program currently covers 8,432 policyholders and about $25.47 million in written premium in the state. If implemented, the change would reduce premium by approximately $2.34 million.
The filing also updates rating components, including revisions to the Welcome Discount, which applies factors based on the number of policy renewals. New policyholders receive a larger discount that gradually decreases with each renewal until leveling off after five renewals.
The proposed effective dates are April 6, 2026 for new business and May 6, 2026 for renewals.
The company last revised its Kansas homeowners rates on May 12, 2025, when an overall 3% change was implemented.
