GEICO has filed a new set of policy forms in Texas to launch a voluntary recreational vehicle (RV) insurance product.
The filing, submitted January 15, 2026, covers a new RV and trailer policy form package and is intended to support a broader RV product rollout in the state. GEICO requested an effective date of March 12, 2026, for both new and renewal business.
The submission introduces an entirely new Texas Recreational Vehicle and Trailer Insurance Policy, along with supporting forms including a declarations page, credit information disclosures, application, and signature documents. The product is being written through GEICO Texas County Mutual Insurance Company, with underwriting support from GEICO Perspective Corporation and GEICO Voyager Corporation.
Optional features referenced in the policy include mechanical breakdown insurance, emergency expense allowances, pet injury coverage, roof-specific coverage, and Mexico insurance coverage for qualifying losses.
If approved by the Texas Department of Insurance, the new forms would allow GEICO to begin issuing RV policies under the updated structure starting in mid-March 2026
