GEICO is introducing a new recreational vehicle insurance product in Florida through GEICO Advantage Insurance Company, targeting new business with no impact on existing rates.
The program covers motorhomes, travel trailers, and utility trailers, and will be offered on a voluntary basis. According to the filing, the rollout is limited to new policies, while existing customers will remain with other GEICO entities such as GEICO Indemnity and GEICO General.
The product includes new rating structures and underwriting rules, with detailed driver-level factors such as age, gender, marital status, and driving history influencing pricing. These rating elements suggest a granular approach to risk segmentation, similar to GEICO’s core auto model.
The filing was submitted to the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation and took effect for new business on or after March 12, 2026.
