GEICO Advantage Insurance Company and GEICO Marine Insurance Company have filed to introduce a new voluntary motorcycle and off-road insurance product in Georgia, with an effective date of on approval.
The filing establishes a new policy framework covering motorcycles, dirt bikes, ATVs, golf carts, and other off-road vehicles, supported by a full suite of new forms including the Georgia Motorcycle/Off-Road Insurance Policy, application, declarations page, certificate of insurance, and multiple endorsements.
The program offers liability, medical payments, and physical damage coverage, along with specialized protections for custom parts and equipment, safety riding apparel, stored gear, emergency road service, trip interruption, transport trailer damage, and total loss replacement.
Uninsured motorist coverage is available on both reduced and add-on bases. The policy also includes provisions addressing peer-to-peer vehicle sharing and exclusions related to ride-sharing and vehicle-sharing periods.
This is a new program filing, with rates and rules to be submitted separately. The product will be written through GEICO’s Berkshire Hathaway group insurers and expands the carrier’s recreational vehicle offering in the Georgia personal lines market.
