Lemonade has filed for a 42.3% overall increase to its Oregon pet insurance program, including a 50% increase for accident and illness coverage and no change to preventative coverage rates.
The proposal would apply to renewals effective February 19, 2027, affecting 6,876 policies in force as of September 25, 2026.
Alongside the increase, Lemonade proposes replacing ZIP code rating factors with census tract factors, updating breed, age and gender factors, and introducing an underwriting tier. It also plans to introduce a tiered affinity group discount.
The filing’s rate summary lists a slightly different overall impact of 42.7%, with individual changes ranging from a 38.8% decrease to a 328.9% increase.
The filing remained pending as of October 14. Oregon’s initial objection requested a correction to how form edition dates were entered, rather than challenging the proposed rates.
