Next Insurance filed updates to its Commercial General Liability insurance program in Florida, introducing new optional endorsements and revising existing rules and rating structures for small business classes. The filing applies to new business effective June 15, 2026 and renewals effective August 9, 2026, with no overall rate impact.
The filing adds and updates coverage options across a wide range of industries, including contractors, fitness professionals, health clubs, educators, photographers, childcare providers, pet services, auto services, and beauty and wellness businesses. New and revised endorsements include employment practices liability, cyber liability, contractors errors and omissions coverage, vehicle services coverage, animal bailee coverage for pet services, and professional liability enhancements for health and fitness clubs.
Next also outlined tiered minimum premiums based on business class and underwriting complexity. Annual minimum premiums range from $100 for lower risk classes such as pet walkers and home health aides to $1,000 for general contractors and roofing businesses.
Among the optional coverages:
- Contractors can add errors and omissions coverage tied to modified GL premium and deductible selections.
- Fitness trainers can add nutritional supplement consulting liability coverage for up to $1 million in limits.
- Pet service businesses can add animal bailee coverage at a rate of $0.60 per $100 in coverage.
- Employers can purchase EPLI coverage with pricing based on employee count, state relativities, and hazard group.
The filing also includes a new privacy and network liability coverage form offering cyber-related first-party and third-party protections for eligible businesses.
