Crestbrook Insurance Company, the underwriter for Nationwide’s private client business, has completed its withdrawal from the Connecticut market, ending its personal lines offering for high net worth policyholders.
As of January 1, 2026, all policies across homeowners, private passenger auto, inland marine, and personal excess have either expired or been terminated, leaving no active business in the state.
The move follows a plan first outlined to regulators in 2023, when Crestbrook said it would discontinue the business. That process is now complete, with no renewals or new business expected.
The company also noted that while Connecticut does not require formal withdrawal filings for rates, rules, and forms, it provided final confirmation for transparency. All related filings tied to the program are no longer in use.
The exit closes out Nationwide’s private client presence in Connecticut under Crestbrook, ending a multi line offering that had been in place since at least 2016.
