Nationwide Cuts Auto Rates 10% in Idaho

Nationwide is seeking a 10% overall rate decrease for its private passenger auto program in Idaho.

The filing affects 971 policyholders representing approximately $1.94 million in written premium and would reduce premiums by about $194,000. Individual policy changes range from a 19.3% decrease to a 5% increase.

Nationwide is revising territory factors and rate adjustment factors as part of the change.

The move follows a 6% rate decrease that took effect in April 2026.

The new rates are scheduled to take effect September 3, 2026, for new business and October 3 for renewals.
