The key revision involves the policy declarations form (PL-50355 MD), which now includes a conditional clause disclosing the use of aerial imagery to assess property characteristics.

“We may also use aerial imagery to determine some of the home characteristics that impact your premium. The Aerial Image date used for your policy is XX/XX/XXXX. If there have been changes to your property, please contact your agent or Travelers representative.”

This new language—scheduled to take effect for new policies on October 10, 2025, and renewals on December 9, 2025—adds transparency around how property details, such as roof condition or structure updates, may be sourced and used to influence premiums.
