Spinnaker Insurance Company has updated its Commercial Auto program in Florida, introducing changes to rating factors, fleet adjustments, and policy fees for its HDVI trucking program. The changes take effect March 15, 2026, for new business and April 1, 2026, for renewals.
The revisions focus on physical damage rating. Updates include changes to the Auto Physical Damage Experience Modification, revised fleet size factors that reduce relative costs as fleet size increases, and updated expected radius factors used to estimate loss frequency based on operating distance.
The filing also revises policy charges, including a policy maintenance fee set at 3% of issuance premium. Additional transaction fees include $3 for installment billing, $10 for late payments, $20 for reinstatements, and $75 for federal filings.
The HDVI program, administered by HDVI on behalf of Spinnaker, targets trucking and hauling risks and applies experience rating to accounts with one or more vehicle exposures.
