Spinnaker Insurance Company has filed for a 0.4% overall rate increase for its Harborway businessowners program in California.

The filing affects 482 policyholders representing $485,508 in written premium and would generate an additional $1,951. Individual changes range from a 3.4% decrease to a 2.2% increase, with the average policy premium rising by approximately $4.

Spinnaker is revising its building and business personal property loss costs to eliminate territorial differences associated with wildfire risk. The company said the change avoids triggering California requirements governing the use of wildfire risk models in rating plans.

The filing is a resubmission of a previously disapproved proposal and requests an effective date upon approval.
