Great American Insurance Company has filed to introduce a personal renters insurance program in Nevada.

The product combines the insurer’s previously approved personal liability and personal contents programs under a single policy, with premiums calculated separately for each component and then added together. Great American is not introducing new rating methodologies.

Optional coverages include water backup, refrigerated property, business property, bed bugs, pet damage, assisted living care, identity recovery, personal electronics and home cyber protection. The cyber endorsement covers risks including cyberattacks, cyber extortion, fraud, cyberbullying, identity theft and lost social media influencer income.

The filing identifies affinity groups and other channels as distribution categories. Business written through other channels carries a 1.10 rating factor, compared with 1.00 for affinity-group distribution. No distribution partners are named.

The filing is pending, with Great American requesting an effective date of November 1, 2026, for new and renewal business.
