Great American Insurance Company filed a new standalone Unmanned Aircraft policy in Connecticut, with an effective date of May 1, 2026 for both new and renewal business.
The filing establishes manual rules governing the use of new forms and endorsements, moving drone coverage out of standard aircraft policies where it was previously written as an endorsement.
The new product includes coverage enhancements, including an expanded definition of “chemical” to address aerial application exposures. The move formalizes unmanned aircraft as a dedicated line as drone usage continues to expand across commercial operations.
