Great American submitted a filing in Michigan to introduce a new group travel insurance program offering a broad range of optional coverages.

The filing, submitted on June 10, 2026, seeks approval for a new Group Travel Insurance Policy program with a requested effective date of July 9, 2026, for new business.

The product includes traditional travel insurance benefits such as trip cancellation and interruption, travel medical expense coverage, emergency medical transportation, baggage protection, trip delay coverage, missed connection benefits, and rental vehicle damage protection. Optional enhancements include Cancel For Any Reason and Interruption For Any Reason benefits.

The filing also introduces specialized coverages, including event ticket cancellation and interruption protection for single-day, multi-day, and series events; registration cancellation and interruption coverage; season and annual pass protection; pet coverage; business equipment and business necessities coverage; security evacuation; search and rescue benefits; and vacation rental or hotel room damage protection.

The program is designed for group distribution.
