Great American Spirit Insurance Company has submitted a form, rate, and rule filing in Michigan to revise its Equipment Insurance Policy (EIP), which supports the BikeInsure program, with a requested effective date of April 17, 2026.

The filing proposes an overall rate impact of 79.1% based on a 98.9% indicated need, affecting 19 policyholders and increasing written premium for the program by about $2,545.

In addition to rate changes, the company is replacing multiple policy forms, introducing a new International Coverage option, and updating rating to a per-$100 of insured value structure to better reflect loss experience, particularly for higher-value and competitive-use bicycles.
