Encompass Indemnity Company has filed for a 17.2% overall rate increase for its private passenger auto program in New Mexico.
The increase would affect 267 policyholders and generate approximately $138,900 in additional written premium on a current premium base of $807,451. Individual policy changes would range from 6% to 33.3%.
The Allstate subsidiary is proposing revisions to rate adjustment factors, comprehensive and collision model-year factors, and premiums for rental reimbursement, towing and labor, and electronic equipment coverage.
The filing has requested effective dates of October 26, 2026, for new business and December 10, 2026, for renewals. Encompass last revised the program’s rates in May 2025, implementing a 10.1% increase.
