Chubb Introduces Asset Management Protector Premier Insurance Product

Chubb introduced a new management liability product called “Asset Management Protector Premier” in Idaho, targeting mutual funds, hedge funds, and investment advisers managing up to $4 billion in assets under management.

The filing includes private company D&O and combined D&O/professional liability coverage parts, alongside dozens of optional endorsements covering areas such as cryptocurrency exposure, SPAC sponsorship, crisis management expenses, family office services, and investment adviser services.

The claims-made product allows policyholders to customize coverage by selecting from six coverage parts, including private company D&O, professional liability, employment practices liability, and fiduciary liability. Coverage extensions include books and records request coverage, derivative demand investigation coverage, self-reporting regulatory matter coverage, and crisis cost reimbursement tied to reputational events.

The filing also introduces several crypto-related endorsements, including an “Absolute Cryptocurrency Exclusion Endorsement” and a “Cryptocurrency Investment Sublimit Endorsement,” as insurers continue refining exposure management tied to digital assets. Other endorsements address securities broker dealer activities, co-defendant coverage, outside entities, investment consulting services, and increased books and records investigation coverage.

According to the filing, the product was approved in Indiana and submitted in Idaho on May 14, 2026, with a requested effective date of June 1, 2026.
