Chubb National Insurance introduced a new optional endorsement to its Film Producer Commercial Inland Marine product, expanding coverage to include mechanical breakdown of motor vehicles used in insured productions.

Filed June 26, 2025, in Massachusetts and Georgia, the endorsement (10-02-2870) becomes effective October 1, 2025. It adds a dedicated deductible and applies a 1.01 rating factor, resulting in a premium increase without altering base rates. The update also defines new sublimits for breakdown losses, tied to existing property damage limits.

The endorsement supplements Chubb’s existing Property and Production Media Form and is aimed at studios seeking broader on-set risk protection.
