American Security Insurance Company, part of the Assurant group, has filed a new Condominium Security Program in Georgia, with a requested effective date of July 1, 2026.

The filing introduces a standalone product that will not replace or transition existing policies from American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida, though the overall rating framework is based on that program with more detailed underwriting and additional rating factors.

The base policy includes coverage for building additions and alterations, personal property, loss of use, personal liability, medical payments, and loss assessment, with minimum limits starting at $10,000 for dwelling improvements and $20,000 for personal property.

Optional coverages include increased liability limits, identity fraud protection, water backup, personal injury liability, scheduled property, ordinance or law coverage, and endorsements for items such as motorized bicycles and golf carts.

The program incorporates multiple pricing variables, including insurance score, claims history, age of insured, building characteristics, protective devices, rental status, and wind mitigation features.
