Allstate To Exit Florida Homeowners Program Administered By MSI

Century National Insurance, part of National General, has filed a notice with Florida regulators to begin nonrenewing its homeowners and condominium unit owners policies in the state, marking an exit from the Florida homeowners market for the program administered by Millennial Specialty Insurance.

The filing, submitted on January 16, 2026, is informational only and provides the notice required under Florida law. Century National plans to start nonrenewals on May 1, 2026.

As of December 1, 2025, the program included 68 in-force homeowners policies with approximately $285,194 in premium. There are no condominium unit owners policies currently in force.

Century National said the decision reflects a broader effort to reduce its presence in Florida. The homeowners program was launched jointly with MSI but did not achieve targeted sales results, prompting the company to discontinue the line. The insurer indicated it will continue to honor all covered claims during and after the nonrenewal process and does not expect any impact on its agency force. No similar withdrawals are planned in other states.
