Allstate Vehicle and Property Insurance Company filed a rate update for its Condominium Homeowners program in Michigan, with new business effective March 16, 2026, and renewals effective April 30, 2026.
The filing requests a 7.4% overall rate increase affecting 8,237 policyholders and approximately $5.8 million in written premium. The change is implemented through a revision to the Rate Adjustment Factor to uniformly apply the increase across all territories.
Although the actuarial indication was 46.2%, the company selected a more moderate increase. The analysis incorporates catastrophe modeling using Touchstone v11.5 and external data sources, with distribution through exclusive agents, call centers, and digital channels.
The program also reflects usage-based technology such as Milewise and protective device discounts for water and moisture sensors.
