Allstate Launches Trailer Program in New Mexico

Allstate has filed to introduce a Private Passenger Trailer Endorsement Program in New Mexico, expanding its auto offering to allow travel trailers, utility trailers, and campers to be added to existing policies. The filing was submitted on January 12, 2026, with proposed effective dates of March 17, 2026 for new business and April 21, 2026 for renewals.

A key feature of the program is the addition of Trailer Personal Effects coverage, with limits up to $50,000. Rates for this coverage were benchmarked against market references, including Foremost and Progressive.

From a distribution and pricing perspective, Allstate differentiates between call center and web-bound business (Levels 1 and 2) and agent-bound business (Level 3). The filing also references rating factors tied to policies bound through Allstate websites or mobile applications, signaling alignment with the carrier’s digital distribution strategy.
