Allstate is launching a new standalone scheduled personal property product in Rhode Island. The product introduces a modular policy structure, with each coverage section filed as a separate form to streamline compliance and support future enhancements.
The filing includes nine new forms and supports a digital-first sales process for new customers.
“This form filing introduces a new standalone scheduled personal property product in a new Allstate company. Rather than one large policy jacket, the policy will be a modular structure, with each coverage section being encompassed in its own form. By separating coverages out into modules there are efficiencies gained for maintenance with new state laws, as well as with future product development when the same module can be used in other products with identical language. To the insured, the modules will flow together resembling a traditional policy jacket, headed by a Table Of Contents. Customers who currently have scheduled personal property coverage as an endorsement on their residential property policy will continue to renew into their current product, so that coverage will not change. The new business application reflects the digital sales process that the customer will experience online.”
Existing policyholders with scheduled personal property endorsements will continue under their current coverage.
The product is also being filed in Massachusetts, with an effective date of December 9, 2025.
