Tesla Property & Casualty has submitted a form filing in Tennessee to introduce a private passenger auto insurance program, with a requested effective date of March 15, 2026, for both new and renewal business.
The filing establishes the full policy framework for the state, including the Personal Auto Policy, policy declarations, ID cards, cancellation and nonrenewal notices, a Named Driver Exclusion endorsement, and an Uninsured Motorist selection or rejection form.
The Tennessee policy follows a standard personal auto structure, offering liability, collision, and comprehensive coverage, along with optional features such as rental reimbursement, roadside assistance, GAP coverage, and electronic key replacement.
Several risk controls are embedded in the program. Coverage is excluded for ride sharing, delivery, and other commercial uses, and permissive drivers other than the named insured or listed drivers are limited to state minimum liability limits.
The filing was submitted on February 12, 2026, and is currently under state review.
