General Insurance Company of America, part of Liberty Mutual, filed for a 14% rate increase with the Kansas Insurance Department on February 24, 2026 for its eCLIQ Simple BOP product — a businessowners policy designed for small commercial accounts.

The filing requests an effective date of May 1, 2026 for both new and renewal business, and covers 533 policyholders generating $618,781 in written premium. The increase is backed by a countrywide rate indication of 107.6%.

This is the second consecutive year Liberty Mutual has pushed significant rate on the eCLIQ Simple BOP in Kansas. A 10% increase was implemented on May 1, 2025.
