Redpoint County Mutual Adopts TransUnion Credit Model in Texas

Redpoint County Mutual Insurance Company, through Root Republic MGA, has filed to adopt TransUnion’s CreditVision Insurance Score for its private passenger auto program in Texas. The model will be used for both rating and tiering, incorporating credit data alongside other underwriting variables.

Financial responsibility will be re-evaluated at least every 36 months, or sooner at the insured’s request (limited to once every 12 months), with any change in class permitted only in a favorable direction. The filing reflects Redpoint’s move to integrate credit-based scoring into its rating framework, aligning with broader industry use of data analytics in personal auto insurance.
