NEXT Insurance is expanding its commercial property offering in Kansas with the launch of “Commercial Property 4.0,” a comprehensive program that includes more than 100 endorsements tailored to a wide range of small business risks—from restaurants and retail shops to photographers, condo associations, and home-based professionals.
Filed June 27, 2025, and pending state approval, the submission includes updated forms and new features like “Shield” packages for barbers, florists, and medical offices; specialized coverages such as “Loss of Rental Value – Landlord as Designated Payee”; and modern business protections like E-Commerce Coverage and Information Security Protection.
Windstorm deductibles are now expressed as a percentage of property value (1%, 2%, or 5%) per affected structure, and a terrorism exclusion is included with optional fire coverage carveouts. Coverage can also be extended for green rebuilds and brand preservation, while new limits, sublimits, and deductible rules offer more flexibility.
