Next Insurance has submitted its initial Workers’ Compensation program in Michigan, targeting small and mid-sized businesses. The filing, generated August 28, 2025, mirrors National Specialty Insurance Company’s program and introduces a tiered intra-company structure.
The package includes forms such as a Policy Jacket, Pending Rate Change Endorsement, and Payment Plan rules, with Perr&Knight handling the filing. Rates draw on Accident Fund filings from 2024 and 2025, and materials from CAOM, NCCI, and the Michigan Workers’ Compensation Placement Facility. With no LCM filed, the approach is described as a “me-too” of NSIC’s program. As an initial filing, no policyholders or premium are yet recorded.
