Next Insurance US Company, part of Munich Re, has filed a new Business Owner’s Policy package in California for small and midsize businesses, seeking a December 1, 2026 effective date.
The filing does not introduce new underlying coverages or rates. Instead, it allows NEXT to combine previously approved monoline products into one policy package, supported by a new common declarations page and rule manual.
The package can include commercial property and commercial general liability coverage, with the declarations designed to show coverage parts, premiums, limits, deductibles, policy forms, and location-based property coverage in one document.
“By consolidating approved lines of business and delivering a single policy, we aim to streamline the insurance process and provide a more seamless experience for our policyholders,” NEXT said in its filing memorandum.
NEXT projects $10 million of annual premium from the California package—$4 million for property and $6 million for liability—across 10,000 earned exposures. The company reported no overall rate change because the underlying forms and rates have already been approved.
The filing is based on State National Insurance Company’s Business Owner’s Policy package program in California.
