ERGO Next has filed to introduce a new business owner’s policy in California targeting small and midsized businesses.
The package will combine general liability with at least one other coverage under a single policy. The underlying coverages, forms and rates have already been approved as standalone products, meaning the filing primarily creates a simplified structure for customers to purchase and manage multiple lines together.
The program is based on a business owner’s policy previously filed by State National Insurance and will be distributed through independent agents. ERGO Next projects $10 million in annual premium—$6 million from liability and $4 million from property—and has requested a December 1, 2026, effective date.
The filing remains subject to regulatory approval.
